In the last 10 years, their products have made them the largest competition in the technology market. They've been around for a long time, but the iPod can really be attributed as their largest success, or at least the beginning of what they have become. Over the course of the most recent presidential campaign, there were issues addressed that some felt are not the most imperative to focus on currently. These issues included, however are not limited to: gay marriage, healthcare, abortion rights, distribution of wealth to the middle class, etc. However, there are two things that neither presidential candidate decided were important enough to be focal points in the race: space and global climate change (a more "politically correct" way of saying "global warming"). This is the same premise as inTwilight's Bella Swan, except the gaming industry hasn't created anything that bad since Batman Forever, and they've apologized for it. Such gaming icons as Gordon Freeman, Link, and Mario are all examples of silent characters. But when is it no longer appropriate and becomes a hindrance to the plot?
